Let us know how you make out. A while back I posted a photo from an ebay auction of an unidentified home in Scranton. It was a long shot, but we were actually able to identify the home and the current owner was able to get the photo.

As they say, stranger things have happened.

Here's the thread, unfortunately I direct-linked the photo so it's long gone.

I could be wrong but I remember having a relative living on Third Ave in Jermyn and she was technically considered Archbald (and part of the VV school district not the Carbondale area one) so this is possible but I'm going by sheer memory here.

There is a 3rd St in Archbald borough, but its actually in Eynon. Not near the Jermyn line, and doesn't have a Jermyn mailing address.

Jermyn isn't Carbondale Area schools, its part of Lakeland school district.

I'm from Jermyn as were my parents, grandparents, gr-grandparents and I've heard them call the streets in town by their "former" names. Jermyn's streets were named "first" "second", etc, quite a while ago before they gave them names.
For instance, Washington St., the main street was "First St", Madison Ave, was "Second St", Jefferson Ave, was "Third St" and Lincoln St., was "Fourth St."
FYI.

Pardon my typing in my last post, where I wrote "Washinton St", it is Washington Avenue, also Lincoln St, is Lincoln Avenue. The Avenues run one direction in town, the streets run perpindicular to them.
