I am also looking for a vacation home in this area and Wild Acres seems to have the best amenities of the developments I have looked at on-line. We kayak so we don't like lakes with large motor boats. Any advice?

We have a vacation home in Gold Key Lake for the past 6 years. It's a wonderful community with 3 quiet lakes(no motor boats). There is no pool though(if that's what you are looking for).

Look in Milford instead of at Wild Acres. The emenities are open seldom and poorly maintained. You can't have any type of pool in your yard. There are gun and hunting clubs surrounding the community and they don't care about the houses they approach with their guns. There has been tons of turmoil in the administrative staff for years and very little road maintainance so get a good warranty on your car. Oh yeah try Hemlock Farms too. They are closer to stores and have grade A emenities. Just be smart and stay away from Wild Acres.
