Yes. He is one of the few bright spots at wnep, well him and Sharla McBride. Now if they could get rid of Mr. No personality who does the weather, and the junior Herman Munster news anchor, I might be a regular watcher.

LOL @ Hermann Munster!

Is Sharla the one that does the special features? Like trying ballet or skeet shooting? Or am I thinking of another newscaster?

I always called him (if you're talking about John Meyer) Richie Cunningham....I could just always picture him hanging out down at Arnold's and calling someone "bucko."

Yeah, and she is also the weekend sports anchor.

When I first saw John on the news, he had the perfect bowl haircut, and so easily pictured him with bolts coming out of his neck. Now that he has decided to try and part his hair, he does appear to be more like Richie.

I haven't seen any of his work personally, but that video reminded me of the work by Charles Kuralt back in the 70's-90's "On the Road". I've always loved those sorts of documentaries and slices of almost-forgotten Americana.

That actor who was on cheers and who voiced a character in all the Pixar Movies(his name escapes me) had a TV show about slices of Americana. It was a great show, but I don't think it's on anymore.
