I liked her too!

Very sad... she was a bright spot for a declining news station. WBRE really needs to do something if they ever want to be considered a serious competitor for NEP.

Sad she's going, but good for her, all the good ones leave

I wonder why WNEP does so much better than WBRE in news ratings.....they pretty much report the same news.

I'm guilty of it too....its pretty much always been second nature to watch Channel 16.....even though I find a lot of WNEP's personalities to be annoying.

That's a very good question. WNEP has always been the go-to news source for me, and I can't really explain why.

They have a lot of "annoying" personalities, but many people also find those people entertaining. Maybe it's for the same reason that people watch reality shows -- they like to see train wrecks in action.

Snedeker is particularly difficult to watch. I can't even remember what the weather is half the time because there were so many floated head/weird graphics/pictures of people pointing at the weather maps. However, if you really pay attention (it's hard, he's very distracting!) he does make an effort to actually describe weather patterns.

BRE would be wise to try to figure out the answer to your question. Or maybe they don't care? I haven't really done any deep research on whether or not they are at risk of losing any news casts or, worse yet, money, so maybe they aren't concerned at all.

I noticed that the other day about Snedeker, he does do the weather well, when he's not acting like a jackass

I've learned a lot about the weather from Joe. He will explain a Blue Moon or a cloud formation, or other interesting weather facts. He actually teaches at Marywood also.
Sure he has a sense of humor, which makes me smile.
I never smiled at the NJ or NY news....Very stiff indeed...
I had to move to PA and discover Snedeker to catch a giggle. Even though I have to admit
some of the stuff is just crazyness......
But, when is laughter bad? Almost never........

The funny thing is, the few times I've seen Joe out and about -- we used to see him at Whistle's sometimes during Happy Hour maybe 8 or 9 years ago -- he was always super laid back and calm.

I'll admit that he makes me laugh too, but a lot of the time I'm like "What did I just watch????"

In my opinion, WNEP's personalities seem to feel more like they are a family...the way they interact ect. Where as WBRE doesn't, they come off as a group of different people stuck on TV together. I think that is why WBRE doesn't do as well
