Hi everyone, We are looking to move in the Pocono area near Henryville but not on top of the mountain. I did a bit of research and looks to be Stroudsburg is an ok area/school district. We have a 13yr old still with us so I need to be sure its a nice area. There are lots I read that there are areas you dont want to walk out your door at night, well, thats not for me lol. So can anyone give me suggestions on which areas are best to live in. This is more difficult than I thought not knowing a THING of the surrounding. Thanks so much.

Search my name for more suggestions...but since you mention you have 13 year old you may want to check Brodheadsville which is the Pleasant Valley School District...also lots of properties in the area available for a good price due to foreclosure or the owners simply walked away...here are some suggestions from realtor.com:

Dont live in monroe county.
Best place is wayne county.
