I am in search of a restaurant offering elegant buffet dining on Thanksgiving in the Pocono's. I did go to the Inn at Pocono Manor a couple of years ago and, for the area, was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the service. Any other recommendations? Thank you in advance. Happy holiday to everyone fortunate to have family.

Many of the Pocono resorts will have a Thanksgiving dinner or buffet. Some may be open to the general public in addition to resort guests. Phone each one to check. The Stroudsmoor Country Inn claims to have a "grand buffet" for Thanksgiving and the Mt. Airy Casino has a daily buffet.

Go with Stroudsmoor if your emphasis is on "fancy"!

Settlers Inn in Hawley is very nice and is probably open but may not offer a Tday buffet. It is pricey too. Check it out if interested, if not Tkyday, maybe a meal another day.

I will second Stroudsmoor Inn. Another suggestion is Skytop - often you can dine there without being a guest.
