Journal of the Pocono Plateau, Charmed Hour? For those who don't get mail delivered up there Alpine Bakery on 903 usually has copies available. That's where I usually pick ours up. Hazel's meat market may have some as well. Ynot30, I agree with Charmed Hour....ongoing issue. Mostly crimes of opportunity. If you are a part-timer, be sure to make your house look lived in. Lights on timers, consider an alarm system. Make sure you get the drive plowed in the Winter. A pristine drive is a dead giveaway.

Nice area for sure if you like peace and quiet, deer bears turkeys etc. few comments were made about 903. turnpike interchange should be complete by june. also, 903 from turnpike to rt 115 will be milled and paved this summer. 903/115 intersection will be re-done (T-style) with a traffic light and 115 will be widened from 903 to the racetrack in 2016-17. rt 534 will be oil-n-chipped this summer from 903 to Whitehaven. of course the worst piece of 534 going towards monroe county will not be paved anytime soon. that's ridiculous!!!

The last I heard (a month or two ago) was the turnpike entrance (#87) is scheduled to be open by the end of June, or July 4th weekend.
