Hi! I have been reading this forum for awhile now and most of the questions I have , have been answered but I still have a couple more?!..... We are a small family of three my son is 10 and will be going into 5 th grade when we decide to move at the end of 2014 ( I want him to finish 4 th grade here in ct and he would be going to a different school here anyway at the end of 4th because they have an intermediate school here for 5 and 6 grade) So either way he would be making a change, he has learning disabilities and the school here has been more then wonderful and positive with him in helping him conquer them. My questions would be 1st I know the Delaware valley school district is the best I've read in the area we have settled on ( milford pike county) but how is the special Ed depts there?! My son has an I.E.P. do they honor them in this school system and do they even go by them? My second question my husband would be commuting to NYC from that area I guess he would take the short line bus ( do they have a commuter parking lot where you can park all day from early morning til night? And do you need a permit if you do?) and lastly I'm very torn between community's and not living in one (we saw some house in community's where the dues were double the price of others and the roads to get to the homes were horrendous ) what the heck are they using the dues money for?? Thank you so much in advance for your help!!!

Should post in the NEPA subsection of the forum, to get folks from that area to see it.
Good luck!

I don't live there but Pike County is really rural. I could be wrong but I would doubt that the school districts would be that advanced.

School districts in NEPA are outstanding. Delaware Valley is one of the top in the state as is Wallenpaupack School District. DV is Pike and Wallenpaupack is Pike/Wayne Cty.
