The Banshee on Penn Ave, and The Bog on Adams Ave. The Banshee is a bar and restaurant, that does serve breakfast on some days...The Bog is just a bar. The Banshee has very good, and cheap, food.

Micky Gannons has great wings and sandwiches. McMullens in Providence has good food as well. Andy Gavins near the prison has good bar food too.

Andy's has great food. It's probably in my top five picks of local diners along with the Summit Diner in Clarks Summit, Terry's Diner in Moosic, and the Glider Diner in Scranton. The only bad experiences I've ever had at local diners have been at Chick's Diner in Scranton (one can only hope rumors of Sheetz buying them out are true), and the Pittston Diner in Pittston Township.

I see you're from Kingston. Perhaps you have you dined at a few places in Kingston that I have always wanted to scope out and could give me some feedback?
  • Dagwood's, Market Street
  • Bake House, United Penn Plaza
  • Sweet Treet, Wyoming Avenue

I was also curious about that new place where Gel'piaz used to be, just up Wyoming Avenue from the corners, not far from Walgreen's. I also haven't eaten yet at Kazimi, even though I ate once at Allanti and enjoyed it under that ownership. I've heard some great reviews about the size and quality of the subs at Dagwood's, and I just saw on the news this evening that Sweet Treet on the avenue voluntarily went smoke-free; this is an important issue for me, so I'd like to give this man my business sometime for going out of his way to promote good public health.

My son and I had pizza at Arcaro and Genell's on Saturday after seeing Moving Out. It was pretty good, I would like to go back for dinner.

Anyone going to the races this week-end? Fortunately I'll be out of state so I won't have to put up with the traffic.

A place called The Chop House in Swiftwater has created a buzz recently. I haven't had the chance to try it yet, but I heard the cuisine is unique to the Poconos.
