Specifically: I've recently had a few health issues that resulted in getting a few tests done some weeks ago (blood work; leg studies). My doctor simply does NOT call and explain things to me! The nurse did call and vaguely talk about the blood work. The leg studies, no one explained. AND I called the office twice to ask about the results. Nada. Today the paperwork results came from the leg studies. Of course, I have no idea what they mean. So here I sit on a long weekend, trying to look up and figure it all out. Very upsetting! So I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for a general practice doctor who actually will call and explain in these situations. (Btw I am not one of those hypochondriacs who are always pestering the doc; quite the opposite).

I would also consider an internist. I'd like to go to a naturopath but I don't think they're officially recognized in the state.
