Hi Summering! I remember you said you would be back to your NEPA home today, and wanted to give you a warm welcome.

Welcome!

Yes, some more warm from Georgia. I will be in the area soon (first weekend in April) look for the only GA license plate driving around town lost. Don't follow too close because known to make sudden stops when trying to follow a map.

I concur. Welcome back! Bring some of that warmth up with you so I can get back to my regular running regimine and perhaps even score a tan!

You'll be in good company. Yesterday during my commute to work I counted three different vehicles with Georgia license plates. Have a safe trip up!

SWB did you yell out, "hi Georgia to Northeast PA."? It wasn't me but I bet any thing you yelled you would be waved at like they knew you

After nearly getting dragged out of my car and beaten when I was 17 and yelling something out of my car window to two rednecks in a pick-up truck who were yelling at me and trying to cut me off in the 200-block of Lackawanna Avenue in Downtown Scranton (where there were no lines painted on the street to delineate lanes, may I add, thank you Mayor Doherty), I've learned my lesson to keep my mouth shut and my doors locked at all times while driving. Sometimes a few local yokels have played "Grand Theft Auto" one too many times.

Yes, welcome home, Summering. You've gone from one of my favorite places (Surfside Beach) to another of my favorite places (PA)! Hopefully it'll be nice and warm from now on for you, although it's a bit dreary today. April's getting an early start on those showers that bring the May flowers.

Hey...........thank you for such a warm welcome home. I gasped, at my very own greeting......so sweet!!! I love you Pa people.....I love those Surfside people too........but Pa is surely HOME.
I did get home yesterday, but the internet didn't work until today......those companies just can't handle the snowbird stuff. It is funny to try to get everything working again..........Well kinda funny anyhow.
And...........Alas.........We had to rush to NJ five minutes after a call this morning.
Seems the youngest daughter will have to have her gallbladder taken out.
We didn't know what the issue was until hubby got her in at the Hackettstown Hospital. So Summering didn't get this welcome until just now.....almost 7PM.
Sorry for the delay.
Hey, talk about Pa drivers........you havn't seen nothin' yet. These were not from our beloved state either...........
One truck pushed us right into the shoulder.....then he continued to weave like a sleeping, overworked soul.
Then one truck was overturned on its side on a turnoff bend.........Someone LOST their car they were pulling with their RV right down the embankment into the woods. The pin must of come loose, or something simular.......that was a big backup.
Accidents galore............here, there, and everywhere.
Am I happy to be home. YES, and thanks for the sunshine and warmth today.
I was a hoping!
Your ALL TOO SWEET AND I MISSED YOU..........TOO

Ok I will do that.............as a matter of fact if you see kids looking for eggs in what appears to be a delayed Easter Extravaganza..that would be my house. Stop in, have some coffee and celebration with us.............
Seems the bunny is coming here late......You may smell a Ham cookin' in the oven. .........at least thats what were thinking right now........could be chicken on the grill. Just havn't gotten that far with the diner plan as yet

Default Is Easton safe?

I just discovered this forum last week and have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of the threads about PA. So helpful! Here's my situation. My husband and I currently live in Sayreville, NJ with our 16-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter. My husband works at Teterboro Airport in Northern NJ. As first-time homebuyers, we are finding the housing market in NJ too pricey and are considering NEPA instead. (Our budget is $225,000). We've been looking at houses in Monroe County (Brodheadsville, Effort, etc.) but my husband also wants to look into Northampton County. He wants the shortest commute possible; I work from home so it's not an issue for me. Our new realtor is trying to sell us on Easton, but I have serious reservations. I would love feedback from people regarding the suburbs around Easton, especially gang activity and the schools. Is there more than one school and are some better than others. Sayrveville schools are very safe and highly rated and I am not willing to compromise my children's education or safety. Are there other towns near Easton that would be better? If there's another thread addressing these issues that I missed, please direct me there. Thanks for your help!
