So Barstool sports did a comparison of some Pizza Joints in Old Forge. But I heard Scranton has its fair share.

What is the Pizza Throwdown for the area?

The best pizza joint anywhere is your own....what serves some great pizza is a greasy-spoon joint for another so there isn't a fair comparison per se....for me brick-oven pizza is by far the best way to make pizza....but unfortunately not all pizza joints use one.....

I am from Scranton and have been living in NYC for the past 20 years. IMO the best Pizza in NE PA (and in the world) is Lou's in Olyphant.

Scranton has a great pizza tradition (watch the Irishman). There is spectacular pizza in many places in the Scranton area than anything you can find anywhere else..

No such thing as best pizza. Depends. Was the cook drinking yesterday? Was he in a hurry? Dough didn't rise enough? Oven wasn't hot enough?

NYC pizza tastes mostly like plastic cheese (some exceptions of course - Patsys on 1st Ave and 118th St is the best pizza in NYC because they are allowed to have a coal fired oven). Scranton pizza the dough is delicious, I can taste the spices in the sauce, the cheese sticks to the roof of my mouth. It is awesome and you can't get this anywhere else.

NEPA has the best pizza in the world. Be grateful and eat them all.

Sounds like you eat pizza in Manhattan for the most part. Travel to the other boroughs and have real NYC pizza.

If anyone visits Hawley, you have to try Original Pocono Pizzeria. It's a run down looking place (on the inside) with one guy running the place. This dude makes some serious thin crust old school pizza.
