I had a cat that would open doors and turn on and off lights. We had those swirly french door handle things and he would open the door to rooms inside the house that way. I used to think my landlord was coming into the house and eventually rigged a camera to catch him in the act - only to find out it was my cat!

Too innocent. So I skipped, came to this spot..........and just want to say. Anyone who hurts an animal should be in jail for life. What kind of heart, person, soul, could do hurt to an animal...beyond me.
Defenseless???? Not exactly defenseless when pit bulls or any other vicious dogs attack someone.

Its time to start worrying more about people than animals, there are kids all around us, in our own neighborhoods, who are starving, abused, etc, and yet people get more up in arms over dogs than they do over human beings.

I'm not saying I'm in favor of animal abuse, it is not right and pretty disgusting, but reality is that humans matter more than animals. Although I do love animals (I am more of a cat person than a dog person, but that's more due to the fact that cats are more low maintenance and at this stage of my life, I really do not have the time to properly care for a dog), there just seems to be more people outraged at animal abuse (which they should be outraged) and just kind of shrug their shoulders at abuse of defenseless humans.

You apparently never owned a pit bull. Don't blame the breed, but rather the owner. We own two pit bulls and they are the sweetest dogs. Our meanest dog is our 14 year old poodle. We also have several other dogs, including a somewhat mean dauschund, so get your facts straight before commenting on the most mis-understood breed of dog. All of our dogs have been rescues. We would never trade in our pits for any other breed. They are the most loving mushes you ever want, so it is the owner of the dog and not the dog to blame.

I know Poodles and other dogs can be mean.....but while poodles can be nasty, I don't know of too many documented cases of poodles inflicting any serious damage on a person or other animals. You may be right about the owners....it seems most pit bull owners have them for the wrong reasons.

I always love the egocentric comment of humans are more important than animals. Without animals we would have very little food for human existence, plants would have trouble reproducing, we would have fewer cures for diseases and chance for human survival. People do worry more about humans thats why we spend billions of dollars to prolong our existence at the expense of our planet. Kids are suffering because people only care about THEMSELVES not the greater good of each other, our planet and our future.
