Wait, I'm wrong. I have a perfect place for it, the old PG Energy grounds off of Cliff St, at the end of Lackawanna Ave, below the trolley museum.

Sounds like the really want to go big though, an IMAX theater? Geez.
That sounds like a great idea.....it would be great for kids and everyone from the area, and would be something that would actually draw people from outside the area.....unlike Nay Aug.

As long as it was run by this group that's pushing for it, and not the city, it should be fine.

Default Scranton vs Rochester

I cannot find a great deal of info on the Seneca Zoo, but from what I can see, it has faced similar problems; questions as to whether or not they should expand, how much of the surrounding park should be affected, etc.

I am hoping that the people of Rochester will impart some knowledge on us, and give us a little bit of a guiding light in this instance. As the poll stands right now, four people want to see some kind of exhibit remain, four like my idea of the visitor's center, and four want to see the place leveled, so no real indication thus far one way or the other.

Paul, if you check in on this, can you give us some data as to Scranton v Rochester? I'd like to know if we're anywhere near the same ballpark economy-wise.
I hope it is ok if I field this question....did not see a specific answer considering the economic profile...Anyway....Population of Scranton metro...650,000 Rochester....1,100,000 . Total personal income...Scranton....$12,000,000,000.00 Rochester...$24,000,000,000.00....Total banking deposits...Scranton....$8,100,000,000.00 Rochester....$10,500,000,000.00....Total federal funds/grants...Scranton...$3,400,000,000.00.....Rocheste r....$4,300,000,000.00....Seems "our" metro area holds it's own!!!!!! Sources: State and Metropolitan Area Data Book , and Statistical Abstract of the United States. Hope this works this time...lol...

NEPA would greatly benefit from having an IMAX Theater, and I can't believe an area as large as ours still doesn't have one (or an IHOP, Dave & Buster's, Costco, amusement park, or a bazillion other things that everyone else has that we don't either!)

Nope! There's Knoebel's, which is awesome, but it's quite a long haul from Scranton.

I hear they have been pretty rough on it.
get your facts before you write gwc did not damage the building at all!! They made improvements not that you could see. The ceilings fell in on the animals.
