OK.. Im a little freaked out.. I just saw some BIG ass bug fluttering around in my house out of nowhere... i waited for it to land on the floor and squashed it..so i dont have a good image of what it really looked like.. but it was huge.. im thinking mayflies? but i thought they were only near the water. (east end wilkes barre isnt THAT close to the water) ... and i didnt see the tails that mayflies usually have...

so... if they are mayflies.. how common is it for them to get in your house! (im guesssing it flew in when i let my dogs in...?

or any other insect it could have been?

All these insects and bugs and stuff out here in the NEPA.. REALLLLLLLLY make you miss living in a city lol. I'll take million-leggers, mosquitos, and waterbugs over whatever the hell that was flying in my house, stinkbugs, and the overpopulation of Bees/wasps/hornets any day.

If you squashed it and you can't make out what it looks like now....well...it really wasn't that big.....
I've had some that after squashed..well...they were big enough to need to remove the 'carcass'....

I still love PA!!!

LOL...I know the feeling.....I had found a few spiders in my new modular before we moved in...they looked like baby tarantulas.....fur and all....I honestly think it is not as buggy as you would expect. Our May flies are just a small fly...they last for about 2 weeks, some years much worse than others, and they have this talent of wanting to fly up your nose, in your mouth and in your eyes. Keeping a porch light on when opening the door can be a problem...and will also attract bats to dive for the bugs right near your door. We let a bat in once like this, just flew right in with us....it was so funny........my brother and husband with tennis rackets and blankets over their heads...almost like in the movie 'The Great Outdoors'....me and my girls outside watching through the window. I laugh just thinking about it!! I did have a bat come down the chimmney too...thankfully I had glass doors on my fireplace.

Please tell me what to do about it. I get my swiffer duster and squash them but I am leaving little marks on my walls. They just dont go away...please help me!!!!
