These are the only two current local chat forums that I am aware of. I'm not talking about a local "bash the mayor" forum that hasn't been updated in ten years, or something specific to one town or city, or any dating forums, but one that talks about local/regional news topics, and discussions? Pretty much...is there another local forum similar to this one or even WNEP's Talkback forum (which I don't really care for)?

pocono commutor club and pocono speak easy. the speak easy was dedicated mostly to pcp bashing, and the commutor club kicked me to the curb. I did not advertise, but gave building/construction advise as I do here...but as one of their major sponsors is a builder...maybe i stepped on someone's big toe...so I got a message saying i was no longer welcome to post, and they didn't have to give me a reason.
So I made a home here on cd ~ and I am so glad I did. This is THE BEST forum available.

I think, functionally, this is the best local forum. I just don't care for the many, heavy handed rules about threads/posts. There are a ton of topics that I'd like to discuss with my local people here but since they are not about NEPA, can't post them. I don't want to discuss them with a national board - I belong to one off CD and it's great. But I came to CD to discuss things locally.

The other one would NEPA Digital which is a site I started when I began designing websites , NEPA Crossroads is the one primarily about coal but it's not all about coal.
