I know it may sound crazy but come to NYC and watch the ball drop in Times Square. It is a great experience that everyone should do at least once. Plus its free

we found the boat house kind of okay too, certainly nothing to write home about compared to what we have in seafood restuarants in long island.

i like fallsport, settlers inn and right by our development on route 390 is a little place called the fairview cafe. all 3 are excellent but not cheap by pa standards.

Woodlands best deal for new years eve.

Appatizers Full dinner, full premium unlimited bar (top Top shelf) 8pm-2am desert & breakfast at 2am.

I think its like $75 per person but your gonna spend that for dinner anyway somewhere else without top shelf unlimited drinks.

I actually checked out the Woodlands website, and it says nothing about dinner, only h'our dourves. And it's $85 per person. Kinda steep without dinner, IMO. Here's their flyer: http://www.thewoodlandsresort.com/bpdocuments/2009NewYearsEveFlyer.pdf (broken link)

We're considering Genetti's in WB. They have packages starting at $59.95 going up to $99.95 (based on what you have for dinner, chicken, surf & turf, or lobster tail), and an open bar, and breakfast buffet. Seems like more bang for your buck than Woodlands. Although, Woodlands has the M80's playing, whom I LOVE. Genetti's has the Starfires, whom I've never heard of.....we're still looking at more options though...

Yes, it does sound crazy We've stayed at a hotel in Times Square once where we could SEE the action below us, but that is AS CLOSE as I ever want to come to that madness. Every year I look at those nuts on TV and say "I'm so happy I'm safe and warm where I am". Plus, I really can't stand large crowds like that. It's one of the reasons I moved out of Jersey...to have more wide open space!
