If you have a lease, there is currently protection for you. If your lease is in effect you do not HAVE to move,
[LEFT]The Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act of 2009 protects tenants from hasty evictions if the home or building that they live is lost to foreclosure. New owners of a property are obligated to honor all tenant leases, unless the new owner wants to move into the rental unit herself. In such cases, the owner must give the tenant 90-days' notice of lease termination. If a tenant does not have a lease, she is entitled to 90-days' notice that her rental agreement will expire, unless state or local law gives her the right to even greater notice.

It is old, but I do wonder what ever happened with the OP's situation. It would be great if we could get some follow up on it. Crappy situation for sure. One in which I would be less than sympathetic to the landlord and probably less than cooperative. Fortunately, I have never had to go through anything like this. I suppose I have been very lucky to always have had (and continue to have) pretty darn good landlords.
