LOL, well here we are 6 weeks after the OP saw a woolly bear... and it looks like Mr. W. Bear has called it correctly again.

The National Weather Service (NWS) and AccuWeather both released their winter outlooks this morning and they agree the odds are strongly stacked against a historically snowy winter in the D.C. metro region. At the same time, a strong La Nina storm track is likely to bring some wintry mix to the metro region.

I'm telling ya.... trust the Woolly Bear!

I saw five different Woolly Bears yesterday (while walking the dog) and NONE of them had ANY stripe.

This morning I saw one with a stripe.

The woolly bears seem to be confused this year. What does THAT mean?????
