My monthly premium for my HSA (family) will increase by 41% starting in December? Any other's getting an increase.

I hope not, we already pay over $700 for our family to be insured through an Aetna HMO with crap coverage.

My wife and I did a side-by-side comparison of our plans, and it was cheaper to do Employee+Child and I do Employee only. The family plans are a real shocker and are double what we are paying with our current plans.

Thanks VRE. I don't work so we are stuck with the crap his job offers but otherwise it would be a good option!

Don't know if this is the case for the OP but some family coverage plans will be going up due to the new requirement that they cover "children" up to age 26.

All of us will soon pay more because of Obama's new health care law. Now kids have to be covered up until age 26, and the insurance companies have to insure everyone, regardless of their health conditions. Of course we all have to pay for that, pay for all these new people who must be accepted into the plans.

And don't forget, we can be penalized (or is it charged?) for not having insurance.

Seems preferable though to the Republican philosophy that the sick and poor should just die. I guess health insurance was super cheap and never went up much under Bush.

This doesn't bother me so much. I've got a 20 y/o in college. My husband's insurance drops her at 23, student or not. I wonder what her chances will be at that time of finding a full-time job with bennies. I know my coworker's kids have not had such luck and these part time jobs don't give health insurance. My coworker is having to pay $400 per month of Cobra for her 22 y/o who has been unable to find a job that offers health insurance. Bad, bad economy when these college graduates can't find decent employment with benefits. What are they supposed to do?
