If you could have any of the Smithsonian Museums annexed (or moved) into Nova, which one would you choose, and where would you put it?

I love having the Air and Space Museum annex out near Dulles. I've always thought they should put an annex for the American History Museum next to it.

The other one I'd like to see in Nova is the Portrait Gallery. That's one of my favorite of the Smithsonians, but there are so many art museums in DC it gets overlooked. I say let's move it somewhere in Nova, where it will get a lot more visitors. Of course, that leads to the question of where in Nova. Suggestions?

Default Museum of Natural History

Definitely the Museum of Natural History. It's my favorite.

But it would be better for me if I could take it with me up to New England. Let's put it in Boston.

How about Portrait Gallery to Mt. Vernon?

Genie, for my first wish I'd like the Sackler & the Freer to be transported to Reston - those are my favorites. The only current drawback is they are an inconvenient distance from beaneries, cupcakeries, eateries and my home.

Good point! There are a lot more cupcakeries and eateries in Reston than the National Mall area. I second this idea. And let's put it near the new metro station, while we're at it.

Oh yeah! And if they want to split it up between a few towns, they can put the Hall of Gems on my street!!

The Hirschorn Museum. I am a big fan of the design and the sculpture garden.

I could see the National Zoo having a fantastic annex out near Winchester. The animals would really have some room to play or even attempt a mini migration.

The Museum of natural history at Harvard is AWESOME. Have you been there? I love those glass plants.
