Hey everyone--I just noticed it's 1:11 on 01-11-11. So I thought I'd salute a moment in time like that with some dancing flowers. Why, you ask? Why not!

Now that that's over.... let's get to the point of this thread: A slice of life glimpse at life in Nova. You guys are typical Nova-ites. What were doing at 1:11 today?

I'll start...

At 1:11 I had just finished filing a report and was ready to take a quick break. Somebody brought pizza to work today so I had pizza for lunch. Sometimes for a break I take a quick walk around the block, but I did that earlier today so I'd get some exercise in before the snow starts this afternoon. So, instead, I turned to city-data.

So far, there hasn't been any snow but it's cold outside. Because of the snow, I'll probably take work home. (But that's not unusual, I work from home at least 3-4 days a week.)

My daughter was born on November 11, so this year her birthday will be 11/11/11. Should she play the lottery on that day?

I was on a conference call and no one even paused to note the great occasion! Thanks, Caladium, for the reminder!

Lucky for me I was in a school cafeteria at 12:34 on May 6, 1978 when a group of students yelled out 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8!

At 1:11 I believe I was pulling into my driveway after going to see my doctor. I had a good exam today, and traffic to Tysons was also moving quickly so does that mean 1-11-11 is a lucky day? I hope so because this afternoon I'm chopping up vegetables for a pot roast and taking down the last of the Christmas decorations. Those are two good times to want a little extra luck.

Hey, I want to know why there are 12 dancing daisies, and not 11?

Napping, with the little pup close by. (I was trying to avoid all thoughts of needing to drive to work tonight in whatever snow we get--and back home!).

LOVE LOVE LOVE the dancing flowers, Caladium!

The secretary at our school made an announcement at 11:11 that it was 1-11-11.

I was admiring the plows on the side of road at 1:11, wondering how much this event is costing us.

Pot roast? Oh, that sounds good. Set an extra plate, I might just drop by for dinner!
