In anticipation of the afternoon snow, PRTC (commuter bus service for Prince William County) just announced they will be running the Emergency Service Plan for snow starting at noon. All rides to Woodbridge/Lake Ridge/Dale City will originate from Franconia-Springfield, and all rides to the Manassas area will start at the West Falls Church Metro station.

In all seriousness folks, if you're at work like me, be careful out there this afternoon. It could get really ugly if someone decides they want to rush. Take the extra 15, 30, 45 minutes and get home (and let others get home) alive.

Any news on other commuter systems? Loudon Bus? Fairfax Connector?

Loudon County just posted this notice at their website. Any word about Fairfax Connector in bad weather?

[SIZE=3]Since OPM is requesting that employees depart from work 2 hours early the Emergency Service Plan has been invoked! Long Haul Service depart only from Rosslyn to Loudoun County beginning at 2:00pm with the last bus departing from Rosslyn at 5:55pm. [/SIZE]The Midday bus will not run!

[SIZE=3]The Potomac Falls/Cascades service buses will depart from West Falls Church to all stops approximately every 20 minutes from 2:30pm-4:30pm. [/SIZE]
