OK I have a confession.... I actually like the Koons commercials. Most of them are kind of funny. <ducks flurry of snowballs>

BUT!!!!! They're funny when you ony have to see them a few times a day. I do hate how often they're running that "You are so cute!" ad. Geez, it's on every 20 seconds. I think I'd rather hear "Ring around the collar!"

As long as I have lived here (>40 yrs), Koons commercials have always involved members of the family, including the kids. I'm sure Krystal Koons appeared in commercials as a child that I watched a few decades ago. When the children grow up, you can bet their kids will eventually be in a commercial!

I see I'm not the only one! Krystal may be the nicest person in the world, but her dye job always looked a little "Nazi Dominatrix" to me.

I'm glad those Bloom ads are gone. The ones with the creepy little claymation animals singing the word "Bloom" over and over--who the hell at the ad agency thought that was appealing?

But the worst are Honda's holiday ads. I'm still recovering from the horrific "Happy Honda Days" of 2007/8 with the carolers singing Jingle Bells with Honda lyrics. That alone would dissuade me from buying any of their products. The Hyundai ads from this year are pretty bad, with the hipster couple, the girl singing in that weird half-sedated voice, and her scrawny, scruffy boyfriend wearing antlers. Please.

The recent Cadillac ads are very cool, though.

I don't get the "you are so cute" part. I mean who's cute? She's looking at a phone. Do they have a iPhone app or something? Someone please tell me who is cute (besides me of course).

I think the idea is that the phone will repeat everything she says. So she says "you are so cute" so that she can play it back over and over.

It's an iphone 4 app of a digital cat that repeats anything you say. There are various animations, etc. that it does. When you talk he sticks his ear out to hear you, and when you finish, he repeats it back.
