Hello everyone, I would like to know if anyone has information about Springfield, VA-areas to stay away from? We are planning to relocate in August, looking for a safe area with decent schools.
Thank you

Best area: Kingstowne-technically Alexandria, but very close to Springfield. Safe, amenities, fairly new homes and family oriented.

I'd say that the areas around the Springfield Mall as some of the least desirable parts of Springfield. The most desireable parts are in West Springfield.

Move towards Burke and West Springfield and you will be OK, but East Springfield is easier commuting to job centers.
