It's finally warm enough to go back to the playground (for the truly desperate anyway), but most of them are too wet and muddy. I just found one small one near my house that has artificial turf-like stuff instead of dirt and woodchips, and I am thrilled. I never even knew it was there. It's Stafford park or something like that in Fairfax.

Does anyone know of any other playgrounds in NOVA that have artificial turf or something non-organic and non-muddy?

Clemyjontri Park in McLean.

There is a teeny-tiny one at the Dulles 28 Centre in Sterling (by Wegmans) but it's not worth the trip from Fairfax unless you were already planning to be over that way.

The playground over at South Run rec center has some rubber ground cover stuff. But the main play area is woodchips, if I remember correctly. I haven't been out there since before the first snow to see how wet it is. I'm dying to find a non-muddy play ground for my 2 year old! Where is the one in Fairfax that you found?
