Hello, I'm hoping someone could recommend a really good pet sitter in Fairfax. We are going to Europe for three weeks this spring and I would like to possibly find a new sitter. I am already with one service but the last time we went on vacation there were a few things that the sitter did that annoyed me... so, I wanted to see if anybody had some good recommendations.

Would like someone that sends updates and keeps in touch during the sitting... I know its probably lame but my cats are very special to me.

I have been using Becky's Pet Care for almost 10 years, and they have never let me down. It's kind of pricey, but probably not any more than others. I especially like that the sitter is usually someone who already has clients or lives in my neighborhood, and that I usually get the same sitter every time.

Actually thank you very much for this recommendation. The current sitter I use also charges about 16 dollars for a 15 minute visit... so, I think the pricing aligns. I think I might check them out...

My college roommate (we're in our 30s now) lives in Arlington and pet-sits in-home as a second job. I don't know what she charges but I know she considers herself cheap for in-home, and based on the way she talks about what she does when pet sitting, I would say she's good at it. But it seems like you might be wanting someone to visit, rather than stay?

We have used Pets N Plants for years, and they have been great. They will send you text messages or call while you are away.

Pets N Plants said they couldn't accept new customers in my area...

But hopefully Becky's will work out.

I use Agape Pet Care, located in Centreville. I only leave for a day or two, so I never asked for updates, but I'm sure they would accomodate you. They always leave very detailed notes, and my dog always seems happy when we return. Good luck!

Thanks, I will check them out too!

Do you know what their rates are that they charge you? I sent them a message to contact me but they don't have pricing on their site.
