I am looking for a traffic lawyer for my reckless driving ticket. Can someone point me to the cheapest traffic lawyer available in Fairfax? I am looking for someone around $350. (I am recent graduate and can't afford much)

I have already asked for continuance without going to the court once and need to find a laywer within the next few days as my court date is coming up. Any suggestions? Please Help!

Cheapest lawyer is yourself. They're going to cost you more than the ticket (unless you have prior tickets). If that's the case then maybe you should try slowing down, there's enough *******s on the roads already.

I'll ask my neighbor who she used. What kind of price range are you looking at?

Surprised they gave a Reckless ticket for that. I had a similar accident and received a Failure to Maintain control of a vehicle which is a far lesser offense. I was told than attorneys fees in Fairfax for Reckless are far higher than other jurisdictions snce they are much tougher to fight. Usually looking at a few thousand for an attorney.

If it were me I'd go to court and ask for a reduction or even better a dismissal since there was no one else involved. Of course if there are witnessses who can testify that what you did was reckless than all bets are off. If you can't get this reduction ask for a continuance as this is your right. Don't let it get to a finding of guilt on something you didn't agree to or you'll then be appealing the conviction.

Thanks for your advice. I already got a continuance last time by calling the clerk. I told the police officer I was driving the highway speed limit, but he gave me ticket for driving too fast under conditions (raining), which is what got me into trouble. I honestly was driving slow since it was raining very heavily. But I shouldn't have said anything.

Don't know if I should get a lawyer or go without any prior experience. The only thing is I do not want to be convicted of reckless driving when I wasn't driving recklessly. Please advise! Thank you

Also, who do I have to ask for reduction or dismissal of the charge? To the office or judge or prosecutor?
