Okay, enough railroading...

In McLean, what was the name of the fancy sit-down Italian restaurant that, along with the Giant and the Gulf station, was a major draw at The Commons shopping center (Anderson Road at Magarity) in the 1970's?

Spoiler
Caesar's Forum...it was pretty good, too!

It obviosuly isn't the Fresh Market, and it isn't Norm's Beer and Wine either, but what is the oldest continuously operating commercial establishment in Vienna?

Spoiler
Money & King Funeral Home...wouldn't you know.

Understandable - those places never run out of customers.

The Vienna Inn I've heard has served food under one name or another since the 1920s, hasn't it?

I think the Vienna Inn dates back "only" to 1960. But their building is older than that, so maybe it was another establishment prior to being the Vienna Inn.

Vienna - What is the name of the name who used to live in Vienna that was caught being a Russian spy?

McLean - The community was founded in 1910, when which two communities merged?

The Vienna Inn did indeed open in 1960, but the building was erected in 1925 and first served as an ice cream parlor with a luncheon sandwich shop added in a little later.

Pretty well covered earlier, but what merged were the post offices, as it was easier and cheaper to dump the mail for both sides of the tracks at H. A. Storm's General Store, right next to the GF&OD as it crossed Chain Bridge Road...

The McLean Highlanders used to be the Eagles a long time ago. I don't think they even had Lady Eagle athletes back then. Wouldn't have been lady-like.

It was when Lewinsville and Langley merged.

As outlined in Post #7. These weren't actual or incorporated places...just names popularly associated with general areas. When Langley and Lewinsville lost their post offices to a new one called McLean, it was all over for them.
