Hi, looking to buy a new couch/sofa. Any ideas for some inexpensive furniture stores in the area? Looking for a 2.5-3 seater for $300-500. Thanks!

There are a number of discount furniture stores in Woodbridge. I bought a sofa at Value City 6 or so years ago that my little sister still has and has held up much better than I expected. Ikea would be a possibility and of course you could always try craigslist.

Ikea or Craigslist would be your best bets.

Even better, buy Ikea furniture from Craigslist.

Value City looks awesome! I'll check it out, they have a location in Falls Church. Thanks for the recommendation!

Big Lots may have what you're looking for. I took my college age son into one at Harrisonburg the other day looking for a bed and they were very cheap.

I second Bigfoot's recommendation of BigLots. They actually have some very nice couches in there. Not a huge selection but what they have is popular - brown leather-look sofas. Great prices, and they seem to be well-made.

Regency furniture on Little River Tpke has some good deals. They had a sectional sofa and ottoman for 499. Their stuff is usually pretty decent quality and looks nice.
