All true. That said, if the OP were to live in Rosslyn and set off for a night on the town in DC (most likely somewhere in NW, like DuPont or U Street, or just across the border in Bethesda), that's a good chance he could be waiting 20 minutes to catch the train at Rosslyn, then another 20 to transfer to the Red Line at Metro Center. That's a lot of waiting around. At least, for me it would be.

Also, Metro Center can be creepy at night.

(More likely, he'd just walk or ride up the hill to Clarendon.)

Guys and Gals, I can't thank you enough for all the helpful information. It is hard to get a feel for a place if you haven't been there before and you all have given me great info. some of you have posted on both of my threads relating to my questions, and I really appreciate it.
