I believe that the Farmers Market doesn't open for the season until mid-April.
Yikes! These Shop Rites are too far for me! I am used to having them really nearby! And a WaWa as common as 7-11s! Charlotte Hall in southern MD? That's waaaaay out there . . . .

But thanks for the information . . . Really appreciate it!

I get my groceries at Harris Teeter and I always see duck there, though I've never tried it.

You might want to try 7Eleven. They might have duck.

I can't believe people are so ignorant. You get duck at asian grocery stories. Every single freaking asian grocery has duck. Jesus...Not Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Safeway...it's Asian grocery stores.

Having lived in 4 states (Northern DE, Charleston SC, The Tampa Bay area in FL, and now the NOVA-DC area) I am well aware of what the pros and cons are and that (thank God) everything has not yet been completely homogenized. I get it. That's why I move. I like different. But as Smoke_Jaguar4 stated, If you haven't experienced an awesome Publix, it's hard to relate. And even the Publix stores from place to place vary. The one I had in the last location where I lived was probably the best regular, everyday supermarket I've ever seen. And having grew up in DE, I always preferred Pathmark over Shop Rite. But it's been a while. But even those stores only usually have size in their favor compared to a good Publix. They even had scrapple...in FL. I could even get capon year round at my Publix. CAPON!!! But I digress. I keep hearing about these Wegman's stores and people keep telling me I really need to get to one. I just found out the other day, one is under construction in Kingstown. That made me happy. I am also looking forward to seeing more WaWas in the area as well. The best convenience store/Deli chain I've ever seen.

Echo all of the above. Tried looking at Costco(I think you can get a day pass) or Asian Markets like H Mart.

To the OP, sounds like you live around Kingstowne. I'd suggest going to El Grande Supermarket in Springfield:
