Besides Let's Dish in Ashburn and Dinner Done in Centreville, are there any other dinner prep places left in the Western Fairfax/Eastern Loudoun area? There was the one in Reston that I used to do grab and go meals from occasionally, but that closed last spring. It seems these places were popular before the recession, and then died out.

I know what you mean. There is a dream dinners in Lake Ridge, VA but I haven't seen any activity in it for quite a while.

there appear to only be 3 or 4 left in the NoVA area. I think the Dream Dinners place in Lake Ridge may have closed based on their website. And I know there was one in Lorton that also closed a couple years ago - don't think it was the one listed here. The Fairfax Let's Dish only does meal delivery now.

I did a groupon deal through Let's Dish in February for the first time...it was fun, and the price was right with the groupon, but ohmygosh, I can't justify signing up for it at full price! It ends up being $25/entree (which, granted, is 5-6 servings, but still!) Especially when out of the 8 meals I made, my husband and I only really liked 4 of them. (The rest were okay, but we didn't enjoy 'em). It makes me understand why they are going out of business.

It's a shame, I really enjoyed doing the prep stuff. I keep meaning to re-create the idea at home one weekend and make little ziploc baggies of entrees for the month! I need to google some freezer friendly recipes.

I did the Let's Dish Groupon last year for delivery. I enjoyed the meals they sent. They can be rather pricey. We're a family of 3, so the half meals are perfect sizes for us. Both Let''s Dish and Dinner Done have date nights, though - so I thought that might be fun. Or make it a fun family activity one evening.

I have a few websites bookmarked that do the freezer-meal prep. You could easily find them through Google. There are also the Cook-once-a-month concept sites and the cheap-meal websites - there was one called $5 Dinner Mom or something like that.

I don't know of any others besides Let's Dish and Dinner Done. I went into Dream Dinners in Lake Ridge once and did like their concept (most of the stuff was frozen and a lot was prebagged.

I use Dinner Done regularly. I haven't prepped there in awhile but have taken advantage of their free delivery (although they tack on their prep fee). I buy about 8 meals a month and space them out over one month so I'm not cooking all the time.
