Yeah, the magic-window one doesn't seem to be worth much. Must be hard to counterfeit though. I didn't need to get a new picture. They just decolorized the one from 2007. The new one came in the mail, so I still have the old expired license in hand.

Ooh, interesting. I got married and changed my name but never changed my drivers license because I absolutely love the picture on it (and who else can say that?!) Now that the rules have changed to "Don't smile, look like a prison photo", I kind of want to hang onto it for the next 10 years until it expires, but DH is starting to nag me and tell me that's been long enough...
But if I could keep the old photo...

Oh, I'm fairly beaming in the old/new picture. It's not quite as nice in this odd sort of grayscale as it was in living color, but it will do. Don't know what I found so amusing over at the DMV back in 2007, but apparenly I was getting quite a chuckle out of it. Hopefully the DMV folks as well, whatever it was...
