Have you visited anywhere? You should go visit the places and see which ones you like instead of constantly posting "how is <apartment building in NOVA>?"

It's "another one". There are a couple of dozen such upscale complexes strung along Random Hills Road, Monument Drive, West Ox Road, and Lee Highway with new ones coming on line still. There isn't necessarily a lot of difference between any of them.

No problem. This is a tough thing to do long-distance. Happy to offer what info I can.

Archstone Monument Park was nice when I lived there. Archstone is very corporate and not very flexible on things like rent increase negotiations, with which I had far more success at The Jefferson at Fair Oaks. The apartments are only about 10 years old and the best thing is you can walk across the street to Wegmans.

If you have the opportunity to visit for a weekend, do. You can knock them all out in a day or two and see what feels right.

Yes, I have lived in almost every apartment complex in Fair Oaks over the last 20 years hehe... Fair Oaks is my favorite area of Northern VA. The Reserve at Fairfax Corner is a very nice property. Its right in between a shopping center and the Wegman's grocery store. The area is surrounded by townhouse developments and trees and it is relatively quiet.

The area is very quaint and there is a big mix of cultures that live here. But as the others have said, any property you pick is going to be nice. The question is will your commute be ok. I currently live in The Ridgewood Apts which are on the other side of the Wegmans and I commute to Springfield. That takes me about 30-40 minutes but I'm not sure what it would be like going to Arlington.
