Does anybody know when construction will be over on Braddock Road with whatever it is they are doing in the median? I travel this route every day and it has tacked 15 - 20 minutes onto my commute by just sitting in that construction. They have it down to one lane all the way to the light and the bummer is that on the other side, the left turn lane signal is triggered meaning a shorter light going westbound which contributes to the back up. I am so frustrated with this.

LOL. Forgot about that. George Mason University. The backup usually starts before Roberts Road it just takes forever to get past 123.

I feel your pain!

I have to drive my school bus through there multiple times a day and it's driving me crazy. It looks like they're extending the left turn lanes to Roanoke River Dr (GMU). How can that possibly take as long as it's taking???

That intersection has always ticked me off...it totally favors the GMU traffic over the Braddock Rd traffic. After a big event, it's even worse. GMU cops get in the control box and let the event traffic out of there...and the hell with the folks on Braddock!

Thanks car54. I have even tried the back ways but by the time you're done....it just isn't worth it. Every day I look to see what they've done....and it doesn't look like much is done from day to day....

You are right, the lights do favor GMU traffic....I never thought about it that way.

Sorry you have to drive through there multiple times....wow...even worse.

The roads inside George Mason near Braddock road are also under construction and that was going on this summer so it could be a while. Just pretend it is May and a high school graduation is about to start.

Two projects both with goal to help. Braddock rd. main one to reroute all Mason traffic off of Braddock Rd before 123 (when coming from west towards Mason). Building Patriot Pride - George Mason University
