Now that I am more settled here I can enjoy the upcoming season to the fullest! I was wondering if there are any really GOOD flea markets in the NOVA area. I am in Sterling but if it is a really good flea market I could drive a bit. Flea markets are fun. (Oh, I mean outdoor flea markets vs indoor.)

Thanks all!

If you are willing to take about a 45 minute drive, head out to Harpers Ferry, WV and visit The Harpers Ferry Flea Market. I haven't been there in years, but I remember it being a lot of fun and having a very diverse selection of vendors. There is also an indoor flea market across the road a bit, though I've never been to that one.

I second the Harpers Ferry Flea Market, used to go there all the time when back in college in the late 80's, early 90's. I still get up there about once a year and while there is some new made in China stuff being sold, still a lot of interesting stuff to find hidden there.
Don't know if the one on route 11 north of Martinsburg is still there or not but that one was also pretty good.....

There is a pretty good size flea market in Front Royal on 522 near Rt. 55. Just take exit 13 off 66 w and turn left at bottom of ramp then right at the first light. This is Rt 55. All the way into Front Royal and right onto Rt 522. Can't miss it. I can't say whether it's a good one or not but it draws a pretty good crowd.

I've lived in NoVa for 10 years and haven't seen a single flea market. Lots of trade type shows at Dulles Expo Center but other than a few consignment or thrift shops, there's really no place to search for used/antique items without going to an antique shop.

Arlington Co. Civitan flea market is held the first Saturday of the month in a 5-story parking garage. Problem is, there's no parking for shoppers!

That looks fun. Like what I used to go to in Ohio and PA. We might check it out this spring. I have gone to the Dulles Expo show with free passes and it's just not the same. I fly through there in about 40 minutes, cruising past the neatly displayed silverware and jewelry. Give me a flea market where I can rummage and pick up something like an old oil can or rusty advertising sign.

I'm originally from NC where flea markets are still quite a popular venue among locals. The markets there, as well as the ones in Eastern TN, are mostly indoors with some vendors outside. And by "indoor" I'm mean a long, rectangular-shaped wooden or metal building. The one in Harper's Ferry looks to be largely outdoor. Are there any indoor flea markets, around here...or MD, DELMARVA, or possibly southern PA?
