I just realized Loudoun PRCS (Department of Parks and Recreations) organizes DAZE summer camps. The locations are in the local public schools so it's really convenient. The program seems to be fun (weekly swimming, trips to DC zoo, Port Discovery in Baltimore etc). But one of my friends said her son was bored to death when he was enrolled. She also commented the teachers were inexperienced high schoolers. Granted his son attended the camp quite a few years ago. Things could have changed. Has anyone had experience with this program? Did your children enjoy it?

Also, Ida Lee has a summer camp that children have daily swimming and weekly field trips. If you have any experience with this program, I'd like to hear it too.

My kids did the Loudoun PRCS summer programs (both DAZE and FEST) for years and years. They always enjoyed the camps. I found the supervisors to be wonderful, caring, responsible people. The high schoolers that have been at the locations my kids went to were fantastic. The camp weeks fill up fast, most people register in March. Depending on what location you are looking at it might be too late.

Thank you for the feedback. The location I'm looking at still has spots open for all weeks. Guess I'm lucky.
