My wife and I are thinking about moving to Brambleton. I work in downtown DC. I know there are a few different options to get there- such as the Loudon County commuter bus from Dulles North and the Dulles WMATA Dulles express, etc. Does anyone have any other ideas of mass transit options that they currently use from the Brambleton/Ashburn area? Is this even a reasonable commute? How crowded are the buses?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

hmm, we had a thread on this a few weeks ago ... I don't know the options, but a couple of people did a nice job running through them. I'll try to find the thread.

From that area I believe that the buses would be your best bet (at least until the metro is built). It would get you on the dulles access road all the way in.

Even better would be to find a partner to commute in with on HOV-2 - it would probably take you 45 min door to door to work.
