You'll need to weed them out because once they become jerks, they are no longer nice. Toss out the bad apples.

Test them for reliability through time & situations.

Be friends first... when I began dating my wife, she would not let me hold her hands on first couple of dates..

They are generally shy, awkward in new social settings, and can not complete a grammatically correct sentence when a hot chick like you starring into his eyes while licking your lips.

But think of ALL the benefits of having one of them as your boyfriend/ husband instead of some hot guy. For one, he'd be grateful as he'll if you just touch his hand. But beyond that outward awkwardness, his mind is as sharp as the razor that went up Kim Kadashian's inner thigh. He will be loyal & reliable as a Timex watch. Together you will have smart, well behaved, children that maybe a bit socially awkward.

How do I know this? I am not just a promoter of engineers, I am also one of them
This is so funny!! My son is an engineering major. Very fitting description above.

I used to advice my daughter (recently graduated from college) to go hang out around the engineering building to find a boyfriend! She said that were all just weirdos. We'll see who has the last laugh.

Children are funny at that age, aren't they?

When my nephew was going to college 10 miles from home, his room & board fees cost $1,400 a month. My sister offerred him $1,000 a month as allowance if he lives at home (she just has trouble letting go), the nephew said no 'cause "I gotta be with my friends". Needless to say, he was not an engineering major *sigh*

This is an old post, but I second the engineer idea. I married one, myself. Great place to meet them is on the internet, because you won't find one at a dance club or party, that's for sure.
