It seems the Sherrif's Office and the Leesburg police are not telling us how much crime there really is here. See the article:

Unseen crime: 85% of arrests, details about investigations go unreported in Loudoun and Leesburg | LoudounTimes.com

I don't really see a big issue. When they have to refer to an August case you know there is truly little crime in the county compared to many places. The vast majority of crimes, at least the violent ones. are usually committed on someone they know or someone in a position you and I would not be in. I'm not going to research all the numbers but I'll bet Loudoun is still a safe county overall.

I have no question about that, but I still would prefer they were more open and honest about it.

Police departments fudge their numbers everywhere.

The trick to D.C. police force

It doesn't take a crime report to figure out that crime is almost nonexistent in Loudoun County.

Crime definitely exists in Loudoun. It might be less than other places, but it is not almost nonexistent.
