I moved from DC to Reston, and came back. Was extremely boring out there as a single person. Really depends on your preferences. I like to go out on weekends, even now that I'm married, and be close to art exhibits, indie theater, music clubs, in addition to good pubs and bars. If you like to stay in more, might not bother you.

Alexandria is my favorite part of Nova......less traffic on the weekends, still close to the city.....low crime rate............
