Hi! I really need help and I would highly appreciate if anyone can guide us! We are moving from Dubai to North Virginia and need help to decide which county would be best for us.My husband's work is in Crystal city and we have 2 kids, 4 and 5.5. They're currently in a British system thus in Kg1 and Year 1 respectively. We are planning to rent a house, in a nice neighborhood which has an exemplary schooling district.*Please advise!

First we need to know your budget and whether you want a single family home or a townhouse. There are lots of nice neighborhoods with great schools but we can't narrow them down without more information.

Hi! I would recommend McLean, Arlington, great falls, falls church or vienna with your budget! The schools are amazing and nationally recognized? Do you have a pet or is there something you're specifically searching for? Cause arlington has very nice dog parks etc. good luck! Let me know if you need anything else

OP,
I can't speak to what Dubai is like in terms of traffic or public transportation, but seeing as how budget isn't a relative issue you should shoot for something as close to Crystal City as possible. I found this on Craigslist, and while I can't speak for the schools, the neighborhood should be what you're looking for.

In fact, a mosque was vandalized in August in a hate crime . As someone who used to live in that area, I wasn't really surprised by the vandalism because frankly that area has a reputation as being pretty close-minded, redneckish.
Having said that, you should be fine in Fairfax County, Arlington, or Alexandria. All of which you could find a house in your price range with a reasonable commute.
