OP Old Guard, Deluusions & gomason seem to know everything about everything so only listen to them. If you don't I'm sure they'll tell you why you're wrong in doing so.

Another very useful post for the OP's house search

I was born in DC and raised in NoVa. I know this place like the back of my hand I'm pretty sure I know a lot more than you do. What we stated was factual and common sense. They were barley opinions.... We stated towns near DC. Reston is far from DC and not near the OPs job. Grow up and learn. You need it.

I will second that suggestion. VRE is the best option for the commute. You could go as far as Fredericksburg and still be in the hour-and-a-half window. Check the schedule and map here: General Schedule Information - VRE

You will get a lot more house for the money further away from DC.

Hey guess what I agree with the other poster and think Reston is a better option than Burke. I've lived here my whole life as well. Did I post that the OP should ignore your advise? Is it necessary to shout down other posters opinions when putting forth yours? Does it boost your self-esteem?

BTW Burke to Union Station and Reston to Union Station are both the same exact distance. The Toll Road to the Beltway or the Toll Road to 66 into the city is much faster than anywhere in Burke.

Reston is closer to the Metro, Shopping and has better restaurants. Reston will also have more newer homes to choose from than Burke.
