The NYC one is 1010 WINS. In other words, 1010 on the AM dial

WNEW 99.1 covers both Baltimore and Washington metro areas for traffic. I believe 101.5 has traffic for all of New Jersey. Not sure about Philly or NYC, but I know they recently upgraded the Variable Message Signs (VMS) on the NJ Turnpike and will give you travel times for each of the Hudson river crossings going into NYC.

It's been a long time, but I still remember the jingle - KYW News Radio Ten Sixty (1060) for Phila. That would work in Delaware and South Jersey. If it's changed, someone please correct me.

In addition to the stations mentioned above, Delaware runs its own traffic station on 1380 AM.

But I agree that the smartphone apps like Waze and Google Maps are better than any radio station at this point.

Use the Waze app. It'll help you to reroute automatically and find the quickest route.

On the way up, for NJ, try "New Jersey 101.5" (FM). They specialize in NJ traffic, and do traffic 4 times per hour at :03 , :18 , :33 , and :48 past the hour.
