Virginia's real estate law protects the seller. Therefore, you should have done you due diligence before the closing. There is hardly any recourse once it's settled.

For example, some party bought a house in Virginia, and believed it had 5 bedrooms, as advertised by the seller. The buyer later learned that it only had 4 bedrooms after moving in, and filed a lawsuit. The judge decided that the seller was not guilty, because the buyer could have found out there were 4 bedrooms on google or any other search engine.

However, if you truly believe that the seller intentionally concealed any material defect(s), your best bet is to take the seller to the small claims court for under $5000 damage, because a small claims court tends to be more sympathetic to the buyer.
