I've almost been hit on Memorial Avenue near Arlington Cemetery on my bike because of a young girl who didn't know what a red octagon means. I've emailed the NPS about this but they could care less. They could write hundreds of tickets if they sat at the intersection during rush hour.

Totally agree with you about that area. There are also some very dangerous pedestrian/bicycle crossings in that area where getting a driver to yield to a pedestrian is like pulling teeth. Good for you for emailing the NPS even if they don't care.

This too. I've called Fairfax multiple times about a 4 way stop that no one obeys right next to the park that we frequent. I've gotten honked at and almost hit for coming to a complete stop there.

I was stopped and warned in Arlington when I glided through a red light approaching Lee Highway. The officer let me off with a warning when I explained that I was not familiar with the neighborhood.
