In Frederick County VA, the assessed value has always been a lot less than the selling value..even today in this market. Our taxes are low. When speaking with a realtor in Loudoun county, she was confused by what our house was assessed at because she thought the assessements were done the same as Loudoun County.

We are in Triangle, ours dropped $30k last year from $466. Haven't received 2008 yet. I hope it doesn't drop too much more. We are pretty even for what we paid for it. The market will go up eventually right??? lol

I'm in Alexandria City - I didn't calculate the exact percentage but the land value went up, house went down - a total of 2.something percent less than last year total.
