Do you think its too soon to split the Nova Forum into the 6 forums by county (Is it six?)

Arlington
Fairfax
Loudoun
Prince William
Spotsylvania
Fauquier

The rational would be that each has its own flavor/culture/communities/gov'ts and services. Schools/governing boards are different in each county and each county offers different lifestyles. Ex special education for Autism curriculum are very different in each county

Many of the other forums are split by county (San Diego County/Orange Count/LA)

What do you think?

I think that wouldn't make sense, there isn't enough space and too much overlap in many.

I don't see enough content to spread across all of those as subforums

Nah.

Spotsylvania and Fauquier MAYBE, but the rest, definitely not.

CA forums are mainly split by a focus city, so to speak - OC is the only exception cuz OC is unique.

I agree. There just isn't that much traffic on the NoVa forum to break it up.

If they don't break up huge cities like Houston, it doesn't make sense to do it here. Also, I agree that there is not enough content. It would also mean that people would have to check in 3 or more places in order to give aid. Someone may work in one area, live in another, and have spent a lot of time in a third. Fairfax and Arlington ain't that different.

What do you think?
1. The DC area is already split 3 ways into NOVA/suburban Maryland/DC.

2. LA County is literally 10 times bigger than Fairfax County and Orange County is more than twice as big. It's a little ridiculous to compare them to NOVA.

Not a good idea. You will be dividing the number of threads too thin. Less frequent new threads and responses causes people not to come to a website as frequently which leads to even fewer threads.

No need to split up the forum.

This subforum is not overwhelmed with traffic to the point where splitting the forum is necessary.
