I'm happy for the Highlanders and the Statesmen, of course, but this is so not what Leighland has made clear matters to her.

It just makes it seem like you look for random opportunities to dump on schools in some areas. I hope you have a financial stake in other areas, because otherwise it's just compulsive.

If they've been going to public schools in California; then Lee will probably be better. It seems like the higher ups in FCPS had a master plan to forcefully integrate Lee, and make it somewhat of a ghetto hub in the county. Over 50,000 students are on free lunch in FCPS...I'm sure plenty of them go to Lee, and WS certainly isn't immune. If you are buying a house...how much of a premium do you have to pay to be in the WS Pyramid; instead of RE Lee?

It's a congested interchange during rush hour, but the traffic moves. VDOT is currently finishing a project that will improve the traffic flow for northbound travelers on the Fairfax County Parkway.

Rolling Road can get congested during rush hour between the Fairfax County Parkway and Old Keene Mill Road, primarily because it is only two lanes wide and developments to the south have increased traffic volumes tremendously. With that said, the traffic still moves. There have been plans for thirty years to widen Rolling Road to four lanes. The latest estimate from VDOT is that this widening project will begin in about two years.

The bottom line is that traffic in south-central Fairfax County (excluding I-95) isn't that bad compared to other parts of the county, and other parts of Northern Virginia.

Agreed. And that stretch is only a mile or two long, plus there are ways to go around it if it's bad enough.

I agree with jeff22152 and vectorhead. In general, the area is pretty manageable and only has some congested parts during rush hour. Most times of the day and on weekends, it is a pretty free flowing and uncongested area. Of course, VDOT is doing the current project because volume is expected to increase over the coming years, so it could get worse over time, but, currently, I think you'll find it pretty manageable.
